San Diego Kayaking and Biking - Just for Families

This special tour was designed especially for families with younger children who might not be ready to kayak in the ocean or ride a 'two-wheeler' bike! We paddle kayaks on the calm waters of Mission Bay and then tour the gentle, smooth bike paths around the bay. The biking and kayaking are at a kid-friendly pace and families can select children's bikes, bike trailers or trail-a-bikes for the smaller ones.

 

Tour Details:

Kayak the calm waters of Mission Bay and then ride a bike along the water's edge. This is a family tour, especially for the younger set -- kids ages 2 and up! The calm Mission Bay waters are great for all kids, particularly those not quite ready for the ocean. And small fry can ride along with Mom and Dad in bike trailers or trail-a-bikes! Available Monday through Friday during the summer and weekends October through May.

What to Expect and Start Location:

Mission Bay area in San Diego. Exact departure location will be provided prior to the tour.

Ages and Participant Requirements:

For families or groups with a minimum of 4 participants. Ages 2 and up

What is Provided:

Kayaks (tandems for two people), paddles, life jackets, and guide. We paddle stable, open-top (also called sit-on-top) kayaks, nKayaking with Families on Mission Bay San Diegoo experience is required. Bikes and helmets are also provided, including bike trailers and trail-a-bikes for the young ones.

What to Bring:

Tennis shoes or flip flops, bathing suit and or easy-to-dry shorts, t-shirt, hat, sun screen. Expect to get a bit wet. Bring a 'leash' for valuable glasses.

 

 

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability.

Payment:

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Cards.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Box Office. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation and No Show Policy:

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge 100% for No Shows. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, the full ticket price will be refunded.

Recommended for all tours in Miami: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses.

Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions.

Meals, Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
